Meet the new guys at WAVE
As we’re expanding our business, WAVE is continuously looking for skilled people to add to the team. This summer, we’ve welcomed five members to keep up with the growing demand of our clients and to be able to keep adding new and exciting projects to our portfolio.
Zeger Lindemans
Zeger Lindemans joined WAVE this summer as Client Services Manager. He’ll act as a liaison between WAVE and our clients. Zeger has more than 15 years of experience in sponsoring and events and worked the last 9 years at Delhaize Belgium as head of Sponsoring & Media Buying.
Zeger,
why did you choose the WAVE life?
My whole professional career has been around marketing and how to activate brands through events and other unique experiences. Personally I am a sports addict. In my job at WAVE I can combine my professional experience and personal passion to boost brands to a next level.

If you could be an athlete for one day, who would it be?
It is an obvious choice but as a big tennis fan it would be Roger Federer. He has shown new dimensions of the sport I love most. And in general I admire all heptathlon and decathlon athletes. I would love to reincarnate and excel in so many different sports.
What do you do when you’re not working?
I practice sports almost every day: running, swimming, gym, tennis, … to keep the ‘mens sana in corpore sano.’ Next to that I travel quite a lot and try to read as much as I can.

Nicolas Nerinckx has a degree in Communications & PR. Nicolas has interned at 90/24 Media and football club KV Oostende, where he developed his PR skills and worked on strategic fan communication. In september, he joined WAVE as Junior Project Manager.
Nicolas, why did you choose the WAVE life?
Simply, because I can fully identify myself with the WAVE way of thinking. At WAVE I can integrate my passion for sports and fans into my daily work.

If you could be an athlete for one day, who would it be?

Watch football, take football photos and enjoy the third half even though I’m not playing anymore.
Sören Vandewalle
After leading the Sales & Marketing department at Eventattitude for several years, Sören Vandewalle is returning to his first love of sports (- & music) marketing. As an expert in brand activations linked to sports/music by using state-of-the art technologies in this constantly changing digital world, Sören will be part of the business development team of Wave to help them grow the next couple of years.
Sören, why did you choose the WAVE life?
Because I’m a sports & music addict and I love it when I can combine it with technology and put it to use for brand activations. For me WAVE is the perfect fit between all my passions.
How would you describe yourself using a song title?
Eye of the tiger by Survivor. “Just a man and his will to survive.”
If you could be an athlete for one day, who would it be?
In my football days I would have said David Beckham, I have an immense respect for him as a football player but also as business man, style icon and family man. Now that I’m completely into triathlon I would love to be a pro triathlete for one day, like for example Jan Frodeno. In triathlon you see a lot of great sportsmanship, even at the highest level and that earns all of my respect.
What do you do when you’re not working?
When I’m not working it’s all about my cute little family (with my wife and son) and sports of course. I’m training like crazy to complete a full distance triathlon in a couple of years and becoming an Iron Man. And when not training you can find me (and my son) at Club Brugge games, supporting the best team in the world (oh yes, this is a ‘blauwzwart’ heart talking).
