you should know about!
For those who haven’t noticed, esports is and keeps on booming. And unlike with other sports, the esports season never stops. As WAVE is trying to stay on top of things, here’s an overview of the relevant events that are coming up soon:
October 16: Spinnin’ Gaming Tournament
Spinnin’ Records is bringing Gaming and Dance music together at the Spinnin’ Gaming Tournament. On Wednesday October 16 the Q-Factory Amsterdam turns into a gaming paradise. Spinnin’ invited artists, game influencers, celebs and professional athletes to compete in a Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and FIFA’20 tournament, and you can be a part of this day. Everyone is free to spectate the tournament, but make sure to come early because there is limited capacity.
October 18 – 20: Rotterdam Games Week
The world’s greatest digital entertainment festival is coming to Rotterdam on 18-20 October 2019. DreamHack Rotterdam 2019 is the major event of the brand new Rotterdam Games Week and will take place at one of the major venues of the Netherlands: Rotterdam Ahoy.
October 19 – 20 : FACTS Fall
FACTS, the Belgian Comic Con, is a magical universe where fictional worlds collide into a spectacular Big Bang of pop culture. Discover the coolest geeky items on the huge FACTS Merch Market with 250+ exhibitors, meet world-famous actors and comic artists, be amazed by the cosplay shows, get your game on in the Gaming Hall, hone your skills in workshops, discover the secrets of our honoured guests through interesting panels and enjoy a fabulous comic con experience!
October 19 – 20 : Club Brugge eCup
On november 17, Club Brugge organises the Club Brugge eCup in Kinepolis. The eCup is a FIFA 20 tournament for PS4. How to participate? Qualify through 1 of the 4 tournaments and win your place in the official end tournament. The 64 participants battle their way to the final on a big screen.
November 30 – December 1: ESL Proximus Championships
Who will become Belgium’s best team? On November 30 and December 1 the season finals of Belgium’s biggest esports competition will take place in Auditorium 2000. The best 4 teams our the country will battle each other on stage in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and League of Legends.
October 19 – November 13: Proximus ePro League Qualifiers
After a successful first season, the Pro League & Proximus are getting back together to organise the one and only official EA SPORTS FIFA 20 competition in Belgium. From October 19, FIFA players can register for the online qualifiers of their favourite club. The clubs use these qualification tournaments to pick a player who will represent them in the Proximus ePro League.
